I once took over a project in the Netherlands as project leader and during the handover the project leader showed me the results of a three months engagement. Some nicely foiled memory cards with short explanations of the innovative GTM strategies. The information provided was very basic and literally had no value, hence the standing with the client was equally poor. I asked for what the value is we were providing and I was critiqued for this statement by the partners at that time but not really given a convincing answer.
Don’t be a better secretary foiling some basic information nobody really needs. Push yourself to really provide value to the client and your standing will take of itself.
